Summary

JOB SUMMARY:

The Certified Pharmacy Technician works under the lead supervision of a Pharmacist to provide services to Pharmacy customers. The Pharmacy Technician supports the Pharmacist in providing Pharmaceutical Care. Receives written prescription or refill requests and verify that information is complete and accurate. Collect/enter appropriate method of payment from patrons for prescriptions, OTCs and non-pharmaceutical products purchased Maintain proper storage and security conditions for drugs. Answers telephones, responding to questions or requests.

 

Job Requirements:

Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college); requires knowledge of a specialized field MINIMUM 2 YRS PHARMACY TECH EXPERIENCE Maryland Board of Pharmacy Technicians required.  MUST BE REGISTERED AND CERTIFIED WITH THE MARYLAND STATE BOARD OF PHARMACY National PTCB certification preferred or equivalent state program
