Department:12041 Phlebotomy

Job Description:Will obtain specimens on patients of newborn to elderly as required including, but not limited to, Venous, Arterial, Capillary and point of care specimen. May be required to perform designated laboratory tests. Will exhibit problem solving skills and participate in specimen processing, specimen transport and customer service as required.

Educational Requirements:

Completion of a phlebotomy training course is preferred

St. Mary’s Medical Center:

High School diploma required

Preferred Requirements:

1 year of experience preferred.

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

Certification/Licensure Required:

Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license preferredAmerican Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) certification in phlebotomy preferred
