Physical Therapy Assistant

The staff Physical Therapist Assistant works under the supervision of a registered physical therapist. The Physical Therapy Assistant is responsible for direct patient care, family /caregiver training, documentation, and team communication for all assigned patients. In addition, the Physical Therapy Assistant performs departmental supportive tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

Coursework/Training: Graduate from a 2-year college-level program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association or equivalent education/experience. If initially licensed after 2010: Graduate of a CAPTE Program (Commission on Accredited Physical Therapy Education) per Medicare Requirements Ref. 42CFR484.4. California Physical Therapy Assistant License upon hire. National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

1 year of experience in rehabilitation.
