Requirements: 

Associate's degree from an accredited program and licensure as a physical therapist assistant, bachelors degree preferred.Physical Therapist Assistant License issued by the State of AlabamaCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

 

About the Job:

Under the direction and supervision of Physical Therapists, treat patients through exercise, massage gait, balance training, education and other therapeutic interventions in accordance with State Regulation and departmental policies.Record the patient's progress and report the results of each treatment to the Physical Therapist.Communicates regularly with members of the patient care team, the patient, family members and others involved with the patient's care.Document patient care records in accordance with outlined policies and procedures.Assists a Physical Therapist with a patient's rehabilitative activities to help reduce pain and improve mobilityAssists in exercise instruction and demonstration, patient evaluation and testing.Typically reports to a physical therapist
