The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with SUNY Downstate Medical Center and New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in order to maintain its high standards of healthcare delivery. 

Responsibilities

PAGNY is seeking a part time Physician Assistant (benefit eligible position) for weekend (Saturday and Sunday) coverage(12 hr shifts) of our Neonatology Division at South Brooklyn Hospital:

Duties Include:

Present along with attending physician for all deliveriesAssist with all neonatal resuscitationsAttend to all well-babies in the mother-baby unitAssist/write notes for evaluations of all neonates for clearance for weekend dischargesProvide additional coverage support to the NICU when needed Qualifications
Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program
BLS/ACLS certification
NYS License Required
NCCPA Certification Required
Level II NICU Preferred
Cultural sensitivity to a diverse and under-served patient population
Must have proven ability to work in a team environment
Proof of Covid-19 Vaccination required prior to hire
