Plant PC&L Supervisor level 2

The role of a PCL Supervisor is to manage the PC&L performance, personnel issues and the Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) standards of several GAP (Autonomous Production Groups). 

 

Description:

 

Lead the Logistics Department and ensure Customer satisfaction, Quality & Delivery Performance for:

Manage aspects of PC&L Physical Flow to ensure on time receipt of material, material availability to the production lines, FG control, JIT Sequencing and on time shipping to the customer. Manage team performance: know team problems, define areas for performance improvements with team members, drive teamwork, lead problem solving groups, lead workshops and training on quality improvement (5S, TPM, 6M…).Direct QCD initiatives: set targets, implement plans, track daily results, make appropriate adjustments in resource planning in order to attain desired results.  Drive actions for improvement: communicate with the UAP Manager, Production Supervisors of other shifts, and support functions to ensure a transparent information flow, collaborate to define improvement areas and action plans. 

 

Manage the personnel issues of the assigned team:

Ensure daily team management: assure appropriate headcount, ensure the respect of standardized work methods, assure presence on the floor to answer questions or address problems. Develop the team: ensure proper staffing, integrate new team members, foster individual development plans, advise and arrange for appropriate training, assure punctual job evaluations, provide forklift training to all PC&L etc. Ensure PCL Standards are met and conduct Cycle counting. Ensure that working conditions are fully compliant with Group HSE standards: interfere in PCL / Sequencing in case of safety risks and drive improvement of working conditions and ergonomics.Managing time tracking system for hourly employees. Other jobs as assigned.

Education / Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain/Diploma, with a specialization in Production and/Or,Minimum 3 years of PCL / production experience Safety / Hazards: Steel toed shoes required in PCL / production area at all times due to physical hazards from moving equipment, machine parts and productANSI Z87.1 standard safety glasses required in production area due to dust, oils and debrisMay be Exposed to flying objects such as weld slag and sparksMay be exposed to weld fumes and dustExposed to moderate burns, cuts and bruisesExposed to significant temperature changes in the facility – (heat in the summer / cold in the winter)
