Are you a Licensed Plumber that would like to put your skills to work for the Kingdom?  The Rebuild Technical Advisor-Plumbing, based in North Wilkesboro, NC, could be the career for you!  The position will serve as the plumbing subject matter expert for our U.S. Rebuild Project sites and oversee the completion of work by subcontractors, employees and volunteers to ensure completion under applicable codes and standards, and with project timeline and budget.  It represents Samaritan's Purse and advises in matters relating to subcontractors methods, quality, and performance.  Come join a dynamic team!

In the role of Rebuild Plumbing Technical Advisor, you will have the opportunity to:

Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for HimTravel to Rebuild sites in the continental United StatesAcquire needed permits per local city/county requirementsRepresent the Ministry and advise in matters relating to subcontractors methods, quality, and performanceBe able to lead and train staff/volunteer labor when necessary to facilitate the needs of Rebuild projectsHave a heart of service for the victims of disaster and an eagerness to show them the love of God through word and deedAs required, complete special projects at Rebuild sites for RV setup, host church needs, and homeownersAll other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

Current commercial plumbing licensing in one or more states and be willing to apply for additional licensing as neededCertificate from a college or technical school and five (5) or more years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience with all aspects of residential home construction within plumbing, from layout to final inspection, is requiredThorough knowledge of the construction industry, standards and processesAbility to read construction drawings and blueprintsHighly effective communication skillsAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variablesAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formAbility to obtain and maintain required trade licensesAbility to effectively work on multiple teamsAbility to adapt quickly to changing conditionsTwelve credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, opportunity to meet and complete requirement is available upon hire
