PMC: Accounts Payable Specialist

Penske Media Corporation (PMC), whose award-winning content across more than 23 media brands attracts a passionate monthly audience of more than 310 million, is hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist to manage the entire Accounts Payable function for several subsidiaries in our digital and print media business.

The Accounts Payable Specialist we are seeking must have a solid working knowledge of general accounting principles and be proficient in MS Excel. The applicant should display strong organizational and communication skills and be able to prioritize and meet strict weekly, monthly, and quarterly deadlines. 

Responsibilities:

Manage high volume full cycle accounts payable Ensure all invoices have proper backup, coding, and approvals before processing Enter all invoices in Concur Invoice or NetSuite including international and multi-currency invoices Run and maintain an accurate AP aging report Process all subsidiary payments by means of weekly check-runs, bank payments, ACH, Wires and Foreign Exchange within deadlines Process vendor credits Track recurring invoices and follow-up with vendors and employees to ensure they are received in time for month-end close Review balance sheet and P&L for accurate coding Resolve any outstanding payment issues Enter month-end journal entries Reconcile Credit Card monthly statements Handle high volume of emails and inquiries (as the main point of contact for vendors and employees), in a timely manner Perform other general accounting duties and projects as requested

Requirements:

Prior experience in full cycle accounts payable experience Must be tech-savvy, detail-oriented and a team-player Great communication skills, both verbal and written Excellent interpersonal skills with a professional demeanor NetSuite Experience SAP Concur Experience

Typical wage $65,500 - $65,500. Factors that could be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, years of experience and comparison to current employees already in this role. The total compensation package for this position will also include other elements, a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits including 401(k) eligibility and paid time off benefits.
