Pool Attendant/Pool Concierge

The Palmilla Beach Resort & Golf Community is seeking a friendly, outgoing Pool Attendant/Pool Concierge with excellent communication and customer service skills. The Pool Attendant/Pool Concierge position is a working hourly position responsible for providing concierge services and assisting homeowners and guests according to our standards of service. Responsible for being the point of contact for all homeowners and guests upon arrival to the Oasis Pool and Seaside Pool.

Job Duties:

Pool Attendants are responsible for all duties below, with a focus on concierge or towel and cleaning duties.

Provide exceptional customer service to all members and pool guests. Report unauthorized guests to management in and/or around the resort facilities. Collect lost and found items and deliver valuable items such as phones, wallets, etc. to Guest Services manager. Communicate with other department members and supervisors/managers on any guest issues. Perform other duties as assigned.

Concierge duties:

Greet all homeowners and guests upon entering the pool area. Properly check in homeowners and guests for reserved VIP poolside cabanas. Sell available cabanas and upsell cabana packages and charge guest fees according to resort policies. Ensure assigned towel and current number of chairs is offered to each member and guests upon arrival, escort homeowners and guests to chairs, cover chairs and carry towels as needed. Assist homeowners and guests with requests and concerns. Provide schedule of activities and other resort information to members and guests upon request. Assist in making arrangements for Guest Services amenities as requested.

Towel service and cleaning duties:

Assist in maintaining towel bin/storage area and racks to be kept presentable and fully stocked. Collect used towels from pool area. Wash and dry towels in washer/dryer in Golf Cart Barn. Fold and replenish towel bin with fresh towels. Maintain cleanliness of the pool area, cleaning up trash, toys, and other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

1-2 years of experience in customer service field or related areas preferred. High School Diploma preferred.

Job Competencies:

The ideal candidate will have reliable transportation and is available to work 8-hour shifts when scheduled. Candidates must be able to work during pool hours of operation.  Pools are open from are 10:00 am to 9:00 pm, 7 days a week. Pool opening and closing shifts will require earlier or later shift start or end times.  Special events may require longer hours.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills to prioritize work activities. Strong interpersonal skills required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to be flexible and self-motivated. Exceptional customer service skills. Being able to work alone or as a team.

Working Conditions:

Work will generally be performed in both indoor and outdoor environments. Outdoor temperatures can range from 70F to 100+F during summer months, and there will be exposure to loud noises and sustained elements. Working schedule may include up to 40 hours per week, with holidays and weekends required. Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as required. General standing, walking, lifting, pushing and pulling movements are required.
