Walsh is currently seeking a Preconstruction Mechanical/Electrical Estimator for the Building Division in Chicago, IL.

The Mechanical Estimator will prepare estimates for mechanical work (Fire Protection, Plumbing, HVAC, and Building Automation Systems) for large Commercial, Residential, Healthcare, Transportation projects.

Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or related and 5+ years previous experience in mechanical workAble to work independently without much supervision and be able to work well with a team of estimators. Understanding of all applicable estimating softwares.Indentifies and uderstands differences in subcontractor quotations. Accurately estimate time required to complete actions and activities.Accurately interprets written information associated with projects.Required to travel for projects that are bidding in different regions.
