**Job Title: Press Setup Operator** **Job Description** As a Press Setup Operator, you will play a crucial role in our production process, ensuring the accurate setup and operation of press brakes to bend sheet metal parts according to specifications. This position offers a competitive hourly wage with opportunities for overtime, making it a rewarding opportunity for those with relevant experience. **Responsibilities** + Read and review blueprints, technical drawings, and job orders to understand specifications for bending requirements. + Select and install the correct tooling such as dies and punches for the press brake based on material type, thickness, and desired bend radius. + Set machine parameters including bend angle, back gauge settings, and tonnage according to job specifications. + Perform dry runs to ensure proper alignment and operation before starting the production run. + Operate the press brake to bend sheet metal parts, ensuring all bends are within tolerance. + Monitor machine performance throughout the run, making adjustments as needed to maintain quality. + Inspect parts during and after production to verify the accuracy of bends and overall quality. + Perform routine maintenance on the press brake, including cleaning, lubricating, and changing tools when necessary. **Essential Skills** + Press brake experience + Blueprint reading + CNC operation + Mechanical and fabrication skills + Machine setup and operation + Sheet metal handling + Punch press usage + Brake operation **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Troubleshooting skills + Mechanically inclined + Experience with mill and lathe + Steel toe or closed toe shoes required + Ability to work on 1st shift from 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays **Why Work Here?** Join a team that values precision and quality in production, offering ample opportunities for overtime and skill enhancement in a supportive work environment. The position is for the 1st shift, running from 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with some Saturdays required. Expect a collaborative and engaging atmosphere with lots of overtime hours available. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, Texas. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
