The Creators team goal is to make Amazon the Earth’s most desired destination for commerce influencers, associates (publishers, bloggers, and more) and their content. We are a team of innovators that tackle difficult problems, and are laser-focused on building and enhancing products and experiences that drive growth for Creators. We own the Creator product suite across Amazon to ensure a cohesive experience, experiment with and align compensation structures, and launch features that reinforce feelings of achievement for Creators in addition to monetary compensation. We seek to strengthen creators’ sense of community, fandom, credibility, and provide positive feedback loops. Our BD team on Creators directly collaborates with strategic customers to build new, industry-specific partnership opportunities that directly impact and transform the way our Creators can partner, create, and earn from us at scale.

Key job responsibilities
The Principal Tech Business Development Manager (Pr BDT) for Shoppable Content Acquisition will work with Creators leadership, customers, product engineering teams, Corp BD, marketing, and other internal stakeholder teams to design, develop, and deliver transformative, strategic co-development products and partnerships for our Creators. They will be responsible for powering content for Amazon's shoppable content Experiences that showcase creator content on and off Amazon, not limited to photos and videos. These strategic alliances are complex, long-term engagements and represent significant investment from both the Creators org and our customers. We are seeking a Principal to evaluate ambiguous partnership opportunities, lead end-to-end program delivery, ensure product-industry fit, establish financial and measurement guardrails, foster productive customer relationships, drive business outcomes, and serve as an overall business lead in upcoming negotiations with external partners. This person will be responsible for ensuring positive, productive business relationships with key strategic partners, which is critical to long-term, sustainable investment ROI and requires a dedicated focus and support to identify, curate, secure, and support the co-development process.

The ideal candidate will have launched and incubated the market and business development of industry-leading creator, ecommerce, and or social marketing technology service, has experience managing a P&L, is a self-starter, is capable of long term strategic vision and short term action, and be willing operate both tactically and strategically. As a key team member in this fast growing, exciting space you will have the opportunity to help lead the early market development efforts for new offerings, to establish wins with lighthouse customers and, as the business grows, to identify new customer opportunities and drive the creation of detailed new channel investment plans that can capture these opportunities and shape the future of our channel This role requires industry and solution experience, partner, product, and business development skills. In order to be successful with multi-year business engagements, this person will be focused on co-development opportunities to ensure consistency and focus on the GTM objectives set forth in our operating plan.

The candidate should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about long term durable business trends, product design, and technical execution challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions, and work cross-organizationally to build actionable plans and alignment. A track record of helping establish new business via both focused incubation mechanisms and broad partnerships will be important for this role.
