Your work environment at EXP 

EXP is currently seeking a Principal Architect for its New York City office. In this role you will be a part of the infrastructure group in the Northeast market. We are an entrepreneurial, multidisciplinary firm of approximately 3,500 professionals across North America with a history of successfully delivering some of the most complex infrastructure projects across North America. We are currently looking to grow and enhance our transit, rail control systems, structural, roadway, and tunneling practices and are seeking highly motivated and dynamic engineers and architects.

 

What a day at EXP has in store for you

Develop and oversee Architectural design work for projects requiring interface and collaboration with various disciplines, and clients.  Prepare Architectural plans, and/or supervises their execution.  Performs analysis of design and construction systems, planning studies, design layouts, and construction details.  Conducts site and construction inspections.  Executes code analysis, material selections, and technical solutions.  Analyzes design and construction systems, design layouts, and construction features, which require researching, compiling, and recording information for assigned project work.  Coordinates with other disciplines. 

 

 

What your experience looks like

Bachelor of Architecture degree from an accredited program Registered Architect in the State of New York 10+ years of progressively responsible relevant experience working within the rail/transit sector Transit Architecture design experience including station and related facilities is required Experience in the transportation sector is required Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite are required Ability to work in a team environment and work both in the office and remotely in a hybrid work environment Ability to mentor staff Strong client relationships and the ability to participate in business development and proposal preparation is desired

 

 

The pay range for this role is $150,000 to $250,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
