Job Description Eastman Tennessee Operations is seeking a dedicated Industrial Hygienist to ensure our employees' occupational health and safety. The Industrial Hygienist role will be responsible for implementing and maintaining policies and programs to mitigate health related risks. The IH will ensure employee awareness of occupational health risks, lead and perform exposure monitoring, and assist with implementing programs, policies, and procedures to reduce employees’ exposure to physical, chemical, biological, and ergonomic stress factors. Responsibilities + Manages programs related to the anticipation, evaluation and control of exposures to chemicals and physical agents in the work environment. + Write technical reports and provide recommendations as necessary. + Maintain site records in site IH database for exposure assessments and ergonomic evaluations. + Evaluate PPE needs for Divisions as assigned. + Ergonomic evaluations for office and industrial settings. + Conduct periodic noise monitoring to include area and dosimetry. + New Chemical Reviews for health concerns. + Review and update IH written programs and policies. + Creating and executing studies to monitor and assess employees' exposure to health risks, and to measure effectiveness of occupational health programs, policies and procedures. + Evaluates the impact of emerging regulations to company operations. + Qualitatively assess exposure potential for physical and chemical health hazards. + Conduct indoor air quality assessments. + Implement and assess Industrial Hygiene programs that provide consistent approaches to risk reduction and compliance. Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree or higher in related field. + Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification preferred but not required. + 3+ years work experience in a similar role. 5+ preferred. + Proficient knowledge of OSHA requirements. + Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. + Proficient computer skills. + Outstanding people and communication skills. + Proficient organizational and time management skills. + Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks. + Ability to wear personal protective equipment. + Ability to climb ladders and stand for periods of time.
