We have an opportunity for an experienced engineering supervisor to lead a technical team. The ideal candidate will supervise, mentor, and direct team members while managing their own technical workload. This position involves determining technical objectives for various engineering problems and formulating plans for solution development, documentation, and deployment. The role includes evaluating the integration of engineering solutions within the overall environment, ensuring documentation, testing, maintenance, and updates are completed. The candidate will communicate with engineering professionals, solution users, and management throughout the development cycle, represent the company on contracts and projects, interact with external personnel on technical matters, and participate in business development.
ResponsibilitiesLead an engineering team, meeting program milestones and executing programs within defined cost and schedule.Complete, document, and present technical reviews.Determine technical objectives for engineering solutions.Represent the organization as a technical contact for assigned projects/programs.Formulate plans and guide the development and implementation of engineering solutions, including deployment, resource requirements, testing, documentation, integration, and compliance.Plan and coordinate the maintenance of engineering solutions, including documentation, reporting, and presentations.Plan for future applications of solutions based on new engineering developments.Participate in or lead business development opportunities.Participate in the planning, hiring, development, and retention of the engineering team.Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.Perform other duties as assigned.Observe all applicable laws, regulations, and obligations.Work safely according to established procedures and guidelines.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree, Master's degree, or PhD in engineering or a related technical discipline.Relevant experience in engineering, with varying years required based on degree level.Technical expertise and application of engineering principles.Ability to organize, plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate workloads to meet deadlines.Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.Ability to understand and apply new concepts in an evolving environment.Customer-focused approach to resolving technical engineering problems.Ability to work independently and in a team environment.Ability to work extended hours as required.Additional Skills & QualificationsProfessional Engineering License.Published works in professional engineering journals.Invitations to present at engineering symposiums.Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $190000.00/yr.
