Principal Mobile Developer
Job Description:

Position Description:

Develops native mobile applications using Swift, Objective-C, SwiftUI, Android and Kotlin in an Agile software development environment. Uses Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines for iOS to design applications. Builds multi-module iOS apps by displaying, designing, and presenting data using MVVM and Clean Architecture. Develops software applications and solutions for the cloud such as infrastructure, storage, platforms, and data using Amazon Web Services (AWS), EC2, ECS, IAM, Lambda, EMR, and CloudFormation. Works with large datasets in an AWS cloud environment. Performs AWS development and deployment to define cloud infrastructure by leveraging Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) concepts. Develops native mobile applications supported by RESTful web services using Apple provided protocol.

Primary Responsibilities:

Collaborates and works on code reviews and pair programs.

Uses a data driven approach to decision making while making strategic trade-offs.

Executes development work streams by designs and architects scalable, resilient, and extensible outcomes.

Contributes to develops solutions that are improves software developer efficiency.

Ensures technology decisions are aligns with Apple and Android architecture standards and strategies.

Designs, develops, and modifies complex and major software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.

Develops and directs software system tests and validation procedures, programs, and documentation.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience as a Principal Mobile Developer (or closely related occupation) developing native mobile and cloud applications using Swift/Kotlin, and AWS Services in a financial services environment.

Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Principal Mobile Developer (or closely related occupation) developing native mobile and cloud applications using Swift/Kotlin, and AWS Services in a financial services environment.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) designing and developing mobile applications and reusable frameworks using objective C, Swift, Swift UI, Kotlin, and Jetpack compose.

DE defining technical architecture for mobile applications using MVVM, VIPER, and clean architecture patterns; and establishing industry standard quality practices for both iOS and Android applications.

DE designing, building, and automating DevOps solutions using Jenkins, Groovy, Gradle, Swift package manager, Appium, and Fastlane.

DE building cloud applications using AWS EC2, S3, Cloud watch, dynamo DB, IAM, cloud formation, and Lambda.
