Principal Program Manager, Agent & Manager Programs

This is a remote eligible position for candidates currently residing in the United States. You may choose to work several days a week in one of our offices or be fully remote from any site located in the United States.

Redfin is redefining real estate in the consumer's favor by combining our own technology and agents to create a service that’s better, faster, and costs less. As a Redfinnian, you'll make a difference in one of life’s most important events—buying or selling a home. Our hiring standards are high, yet our culture is humble. We’ve got all the perks, but if what you value most is doing great work in a creative, collaborative, and disciplined environment, join us!

We’re looking for an experienced principal program manager to develop programs for our employee agents and their management stack, from the front line to sales directors. We aim to be the best employer in real estate as we seek to redefine real estate in the consumer’s favor. The work requires someone who can turn big-picture strategy into practical rollouts for thousands of employees, and who understands what messages will resonate in the real estate industry.

As Redfin’s Principal Program Manager of Agent and Manager Programs, you’ll work directly with executives and other senior leaders to help launch, iterate, and expand on Redfin Next, our new plan for attracting and retaining top real estate agents. You’ll work cross-functionally with sales leadership, product managers, analysts, HR, legal, and other specialists, and work closely with our internal communications and PR teams to craft messaging for agents and broader industry audiences alike. You’ll pull together workstreams led by other program managers, as well as identify opportunities and prioritize future work as we learn. This is a high-impact role with a lot of executive visibility.

This role reports to Redfin’s Vice President of Real Estate Strategy and Programs. It is a senior level individual contributor role with the potential for future leadership growth.  You’ll be a critical part of the team that develops strategies to improve the service we provide to home buyers and sellers, through attracting and retaining the best talent in the industry.

The Role

You will develop, implement and maintain a portfolio of programs and projects to improve the way Redfin recruits, trains, compensates and develops our real estate sales agents, synthesizing multiple initiatives into a cohesive whole.

You hold yourself to the highest standards for every program launch. You’re comfortable rolling up your sleeves and wearing multiple hats, but also holding your partners accountable, to get things across the finish line.

You’ll craft compelling, data-driven proposals to improve our service, grow revenue and profit, and make Redfin the best employer in real estate.

You’ll develop the process and rollout materials agents and managers need to understand new programs and deliver results.

You’ll understand your programs backwards and forwards, and act as the ultimate authority on its metrics, results, and reasons to consider a different course double down.

Redfin is agile and takes quick actions to adapt to market and industry changes. To be successful, you need to embrace changes with positivity and feel comfortable with working in a fast-paced, iterative environment.

About You

You have 7+ years of experience in running programs that deliver results, positively impacting financial performance, competitive standing, and customer service,  ideally in a B2C business with a large field sales organization.  Project or change management certifications are a plus.

You’ve worked on initiatives that impact hundreds or thousands of people. You plan well, leverage data, identify dependencies and risks, influence others to get buy-in, set goals, monitor progress, and iterate on the opportunities.

You make data-driven decisions and have a strong intuition for the numbers that matter. Ideally, you have experience analyzing recruiting, pay, and performance data.

You can craft a compelling message to your audience, whether it’s a room of project stakeholders, an audience of salespeople, or a proposal to executives about our strategy. You’re a great listener, who can communicate clearly to a variety of audiences in documents, slides, or presentations.

You’re passionate about real estate, especially when it comes to technology and putting consumers first. Industry experience is not required but is highly preferred.
