Principal Program Manager - Logistics

The Principal Program Manager, Logistics role is responsible for implementing projects and programs that will achieve the Supply Chain/Logistics strategy for achieving cost, service and inventory/cash goals. The initial focus of this role will be to support the Air and Water business channel. The scope of work starts with the quote/order, includes Logistics, Factory/Sourcing and Finance through Warranty support. Success metrics include delivering the scope and business deliverables of the programs or projects on-time, on budget and that the results are sustained with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), metrics, roles and responsibilities and control plans in place. The Principal Program Manager, Logistics will ensure the proper business approval processes are used for the process and procedure changes, and that the changes are documented, communicated, and accepted by all impacted team members, customers and consumers using proper Change Management tools. **Position** Principal Program Manager - Logistics **Location** USA, Louisville, KY **How You'll Create Possibilities** **Essential Duties & Responsibilities:** + Coordinate cross-functional workouts to gain alignment on new concepts, ensure understanding and decide on business direction associated with the scope of the Program/Project + Ensure clear roles and responsibilities are defined. Identify resource conflicts and collaborate with the leadership team to resolve + Defining milestones and phased implementation dates with clear deliverables towards the overall goals working with a “sprint” mindset to achieve the timeline + Challenge the status quo and ensure team is driving transformational change (vs incremental changes) + Ensure data governance, quality checks and control parameters are built into sustainable SOPs + Ensure clear SOPs are implemented with specific roles and responsibilities and success metrics **Position Requirements:** Competencies required at proficient to mastery levels in the following areas: + Proven success as a Program/Project Manager delivering impactful business results that are sustainable. Must have at least 5 years’ experience as a Program Manager. + Experience implementing Change Management + Strong leadership and ability to challenge thinking across functions + Strong written and verbal communication skills + Strong attention to details and technicalities + Excellent organization skills and be able to work under pressure + Ability to influence and drive change across cross-functional teams + Great interpersonal and multi-tasking skills **What You'll Bring to Our Team** **Minimum Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s Degree in business, engineering, supply chain, finance or related field + Minimum of seven (7) years of total relevant experience in roles with increasing responsibility including minimum of (5) years’ experience in verifiable project management, leading projects with increasing size, scope, and complexity. + Experience with Analytics, ERP systems and Quality systems **Preferred Qualifications:** + Strong preference for individuals who have achieved Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or are actively working toward certification + Experience leading multi-million dollar projects. + Master’s degree in business, supply chain, finance, engineering, or other related field of study + Working knowledge of ERP or Order flow systems **Working Conditions:** + Primary office located in Louisville, KY. + Working conditions are normal for an office environment. + Work may require weekend and/or evening work. + 20% travel required to customer sites, distribution locations, call centers or in the field where our sales team works + Ensure data governance, quality checks and control parameters are built into sustainable SOPs + Ensure clear SOPs are implemented with specific roles and responsibilities and success metrics \#LI-MA1 **Our Culture** At GE Appliances, creativity meets passion and conversations lead to exceptional outcomes and experiences.
