Job DescriptionJOB SUMMARY
Supports and optimizes automated systems within our manufacturing operations, initially focused on a newly developed automated warehouse system. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to document and support the execution of automation initiatives. The ideal candidate is a seasoned self-starter with a strong background in industrial automation and a record of accomplishment in delivering tangible results in manufacturing environments.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Leads and promotes healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and Company policy.Collaborates with cross-functional teams to manage appropriate automated systems controls and standard operating procedures. Documents warehouse management system processes, becoming a subject matter expert and understanding integration points with packaging, manufacturing execution systems, and transportation management systems. Trains and supports onsite super users on the appropriate troubleshooting steps to identify and resolve issues with the automated systems. Assists in development of monitoring and management dashboards to facilitate the proactive identification of potential issues. Assists in coordination and documentation of integration points, issues, and operating procedures between multiple internal and external vendors during implementation and on-going support of automation projects. Solicits employees’ feedback on performance and functionality of automated systems to help improve system efficiencies. Collaborates with Information Security team to monitor performance of automated environments to ensure adherence to OT security, disaster recovery, and business continuity best practices and frameworks. Helps coordinate change approval and testing efforts on automated systems. Performs other duties as they might be assigned.Regular and predictable, full-time, on-site attendance during scheduled hoursEDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field preferred3 year experience in technical / automation / ICS / MES, process design, and/or project management, including process troubleshooting and optimization. Prior experience with PLC & HMI programming, SCADA Systems, Manufacturing Execution Systems, Software Integration, Industrial Control Systems, Warehouse Management Systems, Ladder Logic, preferred.KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / COMPETENCIES
