Job Title: Processing Material Handler II

Summary of the Position: The processing material handler II obtains product to be processed. Brings packing materials to roasting, hot and cold panning, chocolate, Granola and manual mixing line areas and removes unused materials. Scans items into work order and scans finished products into QAD system.

 

Duties and Responsibilities: Drives power industrial truck (PIT) to move product and supplies to and from production lines. (60%)May participate in pre-operational checks and completion of sanitation changeover forms.  May assist in sanitation wipe and/or full sanitation changeovers of work lines. (10%)Makes pallet ID labels. Completes daily check of PIT equipment to maintain safety. (10%)Responsible for the accurate use and proper care of hand-held scanning equipment. (5%)Assists other material handlers/scanners as needed, i.e. performing MH1 position. (5%)Assists machine operators and supervisors as needed. (5%)Maintains clean work area by Participating in daily cleaning activities. (5%)Responsible for manufacturing, distributing and consistently maintaining safe and quality food by following good manufacturing practices, allergen controls, food defense, HACCP, SQF, and regulatory requirements. Aware and accountable for maintaining and documenting preventative controls necessary to ensure food safety and quality. Responsible for immediately reporting all food safety and quality issues to management. Responsible for partnering with others, sharing knowledge, skills and information within assigned team and across functional areas. Responsible for enhancing technical and functional competencies, as well as professional and leadership development.

Qualifications: Level II power equipment license (JBSS)Certified by material control department to complete any scanned inventory transactions.Able to speak EnglishBasic math skills requiredMust have good manual dexterity and visionAbility to continuously lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, frequently and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds
