About the Job:

The ideal candidate will be a resourceful Purchasing Agent supporting the Marketing team. This person will also work in partnership with other various departments throughout the organization. The position will handle all purchasing for marketing props and store elements, as well as track and report on all expenses for the Marketing team. The ideal person will be organized, detailed and highly accurate in all reporting functions. 

Responsibilities

 

A day in the life, what you’ll be doing:

Sources and purchases commodities in support of Company’s Visual and Marketing team requirementsEvaluates and selects suppliers for existing and potential procurement needsNegotiates best vendor terms, pricing and delivery based on specific budget and schedule requirementsCreates and issues purchase orders for various items and servicesPerforms or monitors follow-up activity involving purchase orders to ensure delivery schedules are met and items are properly receivedResolution of delinquent deliveries and purchase order discrepanciesBuilds shipping lists and kitting matricesWorks closely with business partners and 3PL vendor to maintain accurate levels of inventoryPrepares shipment alerts for Store Operations teamPrepares monthly financial reportsWorks closely with accountant at month end to reconcile spendMaintains invoice tracking binders Works closely with Marketing Director to assist department personnel with expense report trackingOther related duties as assigned by supervisor Qualifications

What it takes to Join:

3 to 5 years of purchasing experienceIntermediate Microsoft Office ability, primarily in ExcelAdherence to purchasing policies, processes and proceduresSome understanding/knowledge of accounting principlesResourceful and able to work with tight deadlinesEffective verbal and written communication skills, able to work independently

 

Salary Range: $57,689-$65,480

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. As a National Retailer, occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required during periods of high volume. This role operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
