Product Engineer

Summary: Seeking a Product Engineer with experience in the Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) industry for manufacturing process design and customer problem resolution.

Job Requirements:

Solid engineering experience in the PCBA industry in a high reliability environment, contract manufacturing experience a plus.

Experience working with all areas of PCBA, SMT, Thru-hole, Press Fit etc.

Familiarity with processes such as SMT Pick and Place, Manual & Auto Insertion for Thru-hole, Press/Router operations, Solder rework, Thermal profiling, Automatic Optical Inspection, Aqueous Cleaners, and X-Ray.

Knowledge of RoHS and familiarity with IPC-610 and J-STD-001 workmanship standards.

Ability to interact with customers on identifying and suggesting DFx opportunities.

BS Degree in a related Engineering discipline preferred. Lean and/or Six Sigma Certification preferred.

Flexibility, self-direction, and self-discipline to plan and accomplish objectives and meet deadlines with limited supervision.

Job Responsibilities:

Lead technical discussions with internal and external customers while ensuring all standards are met.

Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) launch activities.

Design tooling and fixtures to support manufacturing.

Review customer Product Change Notices (PCN?s) while ensuring all changes are captured.

Develop robust manufacturing processes that are error proofed and simple to perform.

Analyze performance data regularly for improvement initiatives to improve quality, cost, delivery Support PPAP elements, pFMEA control plans & other documentation as required Provide training to other Engineers, Technicians & Operators as required Must be an ITAR Compliant US Person.

 



Pay Details: $100,000.00 to $135,000.00 per year
