Your responsibilities

Test Capability Conducts test protocols as assigned to ensure the products and systems that are created by the local organization meet specified requirements and customer expectations. Provides support to other functional teams as needed to perform test protocols. Ensures data are available according to ABB Quality and Operational Excellence (QO) guidelinesUtilizes safety systems to perform work, resulting in an accident-free workplace. Notifies others when unsafe situations are observed and works with local Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) teams to improve the safety systemsWorks with department staff to improve existing test protocols and capability, resulting in greater efficiency, accuracy, and/or reliability of test outcomesEvaluates quantitative metrics that provide descriptive data for the determination of compliance to requirementsTrains Operators/Assemblers in basic quality test routines to support quality-at-source processes and verifies quality assurance testing performed as a part of the value creation processEnsures Quality Lab operation is run in compliance with health & safety policies and guidelinesHelps management implement staff movements in case of vacations, illnesses, machine outages or shifting prioritiesSupport the unit in achieving the set production targets by adhering to the systems and processes. Correctly use machinery and equipment on the quality LabOperates within standard operating procedures and maintains a clean work areaPerform housekeeping duties throughout the shift and at designated timesOther duties as deemed necessary or assigned

Your background

Associate degree (/Electronic/Electrical/Engineering Technology or equivalent)Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office package (Power Point, Word, Excel)Required to stand, bend walk for extended periods of time throughout shiftAbility to handle multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situationsDetailed and team orientedPrevious experience with calibration processesFlexible to work overtime with little or no noticeAble to use power tools as drills, etcExperience working in manufacturing of electrical productsAble to read product blueprintsExperience working with Coordinate measuring machine (CMM)Able to conceptualize steps required with large data to achieve a certain outcome/resultExperience working as quality control technician or related fieldsPrevious experience in first article inspection validationExperience in basic wiringCandidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
