Production Control work focuses on managing production to optimize the use of resources and meet production schedules and standards including:

Planning and controlling production schedules and coordinating with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials Maintain Board Inventory – order, receive, consume, and remove Schedule board deliveries from the offsite storage facility (West Monroe or Garland) Oversee FG and Board cycle counts Schedule scrap loads and get release numbers weekly Estimating and scheduling the human resources, tools, and equipment needed for the production process Set up new items in the Item File database including die information, packing specifications, inks, board, and pricing. Complete production data in Access databases Use information to coordinate with Customer Service Reps to prepare and plan shipments. Report production credits to Accounting Researching, evaluating, and recommending changes to production processes, systems, technology, or equipment to enhance organization's production capabilities Scheduling the human resources, tools, and equipment needed for the production process Selecting and sequencing available resources and required processing to individual work centers or lines Implementing scheduling changes due to backlogs, design changes, machine downtime or material/labor shortages

Additional Accounting requirements

Accounting reports/schedules for internal audiences (management reporting) Payable/Receivable and/or Credit & Collections Issue credits requests into Web-based system – forward on to Accounting. Coordinate with Accounting on AR past due invoices and participate on monthly AR call Prepare and send slides for weekly review. ERP functional with accounting Run Month end reports and save copies into month end folder on share drive Reconcile Finished Goods and Board Inventories Send board accruals and in-transit invoices to accounting

Required Skills: 

 Degree preferred. 2-5 years manufacturing experience in packaging preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess excellent customer-service skills. Must have strong verbal communication skills. Must have excellent time management skills Must have excellent prioritization skills Must be highly organized Excel Proficiency
