Provides professional support. Responsibilities may include general business, science, medical, agricultural or other professional support functions. Term: Temps can work two (2) nine (9) month terms with a week break in service in between and at the end of the second term terminate for three (3) months or switch to an on-call. On-Call allowed to work 1039 hours in any twelve (12) month period. Unit Position Summary The College of Nursing is seeking applications for a nursing research grant. The positions are scheduled to start in fall 2023 and last through spring 2024. + Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Oversee all aspects of implementing GOAL during the after-school program; Conduct after-school GOAL physical activities on site according to the design of the grant + Assist project staff with adolescents' data measurements and collection + Completes premade assessments judging various aspects of the afterschool intervention Position Details: Employment Environment: Fully Remote at schools & Hybrid Pay Range: $12 - $19.50/hour Desired Qualifications + Experience and/or certification in physical activity instruction + Availability to accommodate a varied school schedule (after school/evenings) + Experience facilitating programs for middle-school aged youth + Comply with all Michigan State University, College of Nursing, and Research Center policies and procedures + Previous leadership experience + Experience facilitating research-based programs + Preferred: Valid drivers license to travel to project sites and off-campus meetings + Knowledge and/or experience of anthropometrics and other data collection methods + Experience working with adolescents + Interest in applied research + At least one year of relevant research or program evaluation experience + Outstanding judgment, initiative, and attention to detail + Superior interpersonal skills and verbal and written communication skills + Strong organization and problem-solving skills + Experience with school/community-based intervention programming Equal Employment Opportunity Statement All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, citizenship, age, disability or protected veteran status.
