The University of Maryland College of Information Studies iConsultancy program prepares our students with hands on experiential learning for careers in industry government and the nonprofit sector Focusing primarily on client based projects the iConsultancy develops project opportunities that enable students to demonstrate their skills and knowledge across a variety of courses and academic programs while providing its clients with valued outcomes The iConsultancy Client Manager will help to grow this program with the skills to build partnerships with companies entrepreneurs and organizations secure funding commitments support the vision of faculty leaders and provide a transformational experience for student participants This individual will be expert in fostering collaboration and will connect the College with companies entrepreneurs and organizations motivated to partner on information projects such as data science data visualization information management database architecture UXUI and website designThe iConsultancy Client Manager will operate under the supervision of the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs As staff leader of the College of Information Studiess iConsultancy Program the Client Manager is responsible for all aspects of the iConsultancy experience for students faculty and industry partners including scaling up the program as industry participation grows The Client Manager will partner with multiple organizations including the Deans office Academic Affairs faculty and staff University Relations UMD Career Center as well as other outward facing UMD units and external partners The Client Manager formulates program strategies and goals plans directs and controls program budget and other related resources and manages the entire contract IP negotiation and invoice process with external partners The Client Manager will support an appointed Faculty Director primarily by building connections with potential industry sponsors scoping projects and ensuring successful project execution
