Primary Responsibilities

As a Project Architect at HDR you will work on projects in a variety of sectors with a focus on technology and data center projects.You’ll be working closely with the multi-disciplinary design teams, clients, and contractors throughout the United States. In the role ofData Center Project Architect, we'll count on you to:

Have knowledge in technical design concepts, design management skills, digital technologies, and design workflow for Technology and Data Storage StructuresLead owner/client and internal meetings and participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code complianceManage and undertake design activities and the production of detailed documents required for constructionReview architectural documents for areas of conflict with all disciplinesPerform QA/QC and cross discipline technical reviewsWrite and edit architectural specificationsCoordinate with and assist affected disciplines with addenda, RFIs, CPRs and change ordersIncorporate agreed-upon changes into project documentsProvide construction observation and contract administration as neededConduct work sessions at project site in conjunction with Client Representatives, Project Managers and other disciplinesPerform other duties as needed

Required Qualifications

Professional Degree in Architecture Minimum 5 years’ experienceRegistered ArchitectExperience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project Schedule)Excellent written and communication skillsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsProficient in use of Autodesk Revit and familiarity with related tools and processesStrong knowledge of building codes, regulations and permittingAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned cultureWilling and able to travel to project sites and HDR offices throughout the United States.Fully vaccinated for COVID-19. This position requires onsite client visits, and the client requires all contractors/consultants/vendors who work or visit the site provide current vaccinations for COVID-19.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in ArchitectureDemonstrated graphic presentation skills with knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp and Blue Beam pdf editorLEED Accreditation with experience and/or interest in sustainable design5 years’ experience of working on Technology or Industrial projects is preferred.
