Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Project Assistant.

In this role, the successful candidate is primarily responsible for updating and recording information into the project and financial systems as assigned by supervisor. Responsibilities include assignments that need to be performed on a routine, ongoing basis or one-time special projects as assigned. Training on systems/applications is provided by the department.

Job Responsibilities:

Financial Systems Updates: Data entry into the REDF Financial Systems or PeopleSoft (invoices, requisitions, POs, PMRs, IOIs, journal entries, receipts and other relevant data)Assist with Special Projects: Perform tasks as assigned by supervisor to assist with special projects (such as vendor account reconciliation, comparison/reconciliation of various data sources, summarize findings in reports or tables as instructed by supervisor) .Assist with Data Quality Assurance, Analysis and Reporting: Perform tasks as instructed by supervisor in order to assist with the departments data quality assurance, data analysis and reporting (such as exception report trouble shooting, data verification, reconciliations, etc) Generate routine or ad-hoc reports and/or summaries as requested Maintain logs/spreadsheets of various data as requested.Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or the equivalent is required1 year related experience in an office setting or the equivalent combination of education and experienceEffective Oral, written communication and interpersonal skillsComputer Skills-Working knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Power point and AccessAbility to develop basic formulae for spreadsheets; set up routine computer proceduresAbility to access e-mail, electronic calendars, and other basic office support softwareAbility to proofread documents and write clear, concise 1st draftAbility to type at a speed of at least 45 net words per minutes.
Knowledge of standard office practicesAbility to multi-task while paying attention to detailsAbility to use standard office equipment such as copy machines, multi-line telephones, fax machines.

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate or Bachelor's degree with a business, financial or computer concentration preferred but not required.Proficiency in MS Office, particularly excel, knowledge of MS Access preferred. Ability to multitask; strong attention to detail; self-motivation, willingness to take initiative and work as a team; good oral and written communication skills.

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $41,977.18 - $48,825.30 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
