Job Description
The Project Engineer is responsible for using Solidworks and Autocad to design sheet metal products. The role involves reading and interpreting blueprints/drawings and creating shop drawings for products to be machined in-house.
Responsibilities
+ Design sheet metal products using Solidworks and Autocad.
+ Read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
+ Create and modify shop drawings for in-house machining.
+ Manage bills of materials and fabrication details.
+ Apply bend deductions in designs.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in Solidworks and Autocad.
+ Experience in a sheet metal manufacturing/fabrication environment.
+ Ability to create and modify shop drawings.
+ Understanding of bills of materials and fabrication processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
+ 1-3+ years of experience within a sheet metal manufacturing/fabrication environment.
+ Experience in building materials/architecture is preferred.
+ Experience in a machine shop/job shop is preferred.
Work Environment
The role requires working 5 days in the office and is 100% onsite. The dress code is business casual, typically polo and slacks, and the working hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM. The candidate will be part of a fabrication team consisting of 7 Project Engineers and will report to a PE Lead and an Engineering Manager. The company fosters a casual environment with a good company culture.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $41.00/hr.
