Job DescriptionPCI is seeking an experienced Project Engineer for its Houston operations based in Pasadena, Texas. This individual will be responsible for the following duties:
Perform labor control on assigned projects, including setup and maintenancePrepare RFI’s and submittalsQuantitative takeoffs to verify estimates, order materials, and price change ordersCreate and implement job schedules and coordinate with field supervisors and foremenCreate and manage punch lists and job closeout documentation Support the Quality Control measures outlined in the QA/QC program Requirements
Basic Requirements:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in either Commercial or Industrial constructionBachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Construction Science or related discipline, or comparable work experience.Minimum Requirements:
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft WordA clear understanding of how to read and understand specifications and drawingsStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to work in a team environmentAbility to learn new job skills by engaging in the technical aspects of the job and applying new skills as they are taughtCustomer service skills, such as able to work with customers and build strong relationshipsCritical thinking and problem-solving skillsAbility to multitaskMotivated self-starter with strong work ethic and a willingness to take initiativeWorks well under pressure and deadlinePreferred Requirements:
Experience with insulation and specialty services preferredLocal to the Houston Metro area. OSHA CertificationThis role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
