We are actively recruiting a Project Interior Designer to join our collaborative and innovative firm in our Data Centers market sector in our Dallas office location.  This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated designer eager to learn and assume responsibility on unique and challenging projects in a creative work environment and is ready for the opportunity to mentor junior staff. 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

Coordinate all phases of the design process in full life cycle projects Generate creative design solutions within the functional parameters of a projectTranslate concepts and information into imagesExecute the process of preparing and completing usable construction document detailing solutionsCoordinate the selection of materials, furnishings, fixtures, and equipmentManage contract administration responsibilitiesAssist with creation and management of project schedulesDevelop & present appropriate technical solutions to stakeholdersAssist with leading project studio team members, leveraging strengths, and providing mentorshipWork proactively to resolve issues that arise between project, design, and technical objectives of the project, in coordination with Project ManagerExecute coordination and integration of architectural and consultant documentsSeek innovation in design solutions in an ongoing spirit of curiosity and increased project performanceDemonstrate understanding of appropriate industry standards and construction practiceApply knowledge of construction methods and timelinesMaintain awareness of, and appropriately apply, new methodologies, practices, codes, and productsAttend and conduct presentations Manage client relations

 

Qualifications

Qualified Project Interior Designers already exhibit these strengths and talents:

Degree from a CIDA accredited Interior Design program or equivalent6+ years of experience in commercial designDisplay strong design portfolio showing strengths in conceptual design, space planning skills, and detailingRevit proficiency and technical excellenceThorough understanding of how a drawing set goes togetherAcumen for how things are built and constructability, and the ability to apply that knowledge to support the project design and budgetGeneral understanding of building and accessibility codes Experience coordinating with a variety of consultants and contractorsInterest in sustainable designProfessional registration Effective organizational and communication skillsAttention to detailFlexible attitudeAbility to collaborate in a diverse project team environmentDemonstrated experience coordinating and leading projects teams Ability to translate design concepts and information into imagesConfident presentation abilityPotential travel opportunities
