D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a Project Manager-RLA. The right candidate is responsible for preparation and coordination of all technical activities on assigned projects. The Project Manager plans, schedules, conducts and coordinates assigned work, monitors work for compliance to applicable codes, applies all landscape and planning practices and standards, and ensures effective communication and coordination on assigned projects between all disciplines and all other project consultants.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Serve as the main point of contract in the daily interaction with the client’s designated representative and jurisdictional agency personnel, as well as the team lead for all internal activities performed by the project teamManage project team consisting of Engineers, Planners, Landscape Architect’s, CAD designers and technicians, sub-consultants, and contractors to successfully complete projectsResponsible for planning, scheduling, conducting and coordinating the financial and technical aspects of assigned projectsCoordinate and manage overall project schedules and budget constraints for assigned projects through completionResponsible for Quality Control review of design elements, contractual obligations and overall deliverables prior to external releaseMaster Planning through detailed design activities as both Project Manager and Project Contributor Preparation and review of deliverables including conceptual and schematic site layouts, feasibility studies, design development and construction plans and documents, grading plans, landscape plans, buffer requirements, cost estimates, and permit applicationsIdentify, interpret and resolve technical project issues with minimal oversightAnalyze, interpret, and stay abreast of latest regulations and criteria for local, state, and federal regulatory agencies Manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneouslyAssist in coordination of Construction Phase Services including site visits, bid documents, submittal reviews and pay applicationsConducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the companyAbility to travel overnight

Supervises 2 or more employees

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor of Science degree in Landscape Architecture Registered and active Landscape Architect in the required state or ability to obtain RLAMust exhibit strong management and leadership skills, with an aptitude to train and mentor staffMinimum 6 years of engineering experience related to Land Development ProjectsExperience in technical writing of deliverables including work plans, contract documents, summary reports and project correspondence is requiredLand and Site planning experience is requiredExperience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft office platforms including Microsoft ProjectPossess strong verbal and written communication skillsWillingness to learn and expand responsibilities Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applicationsProficiency with MS Office and emailAbility to sit for majority of 8-hour workday; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral visionThe noise level is generally moderate.
