This position leads and manages land surveying projects as well as the Land Survey staff.

Responsibilities Supervise, coordinate, and review activities and deliverables of field and office staff assigned to various land surveying projectsWork closely with engineering staff and clientsProvides guidance and direction to the Survey Technicians and SIT’sManages and schedules individual projectsPerforms or delegates tasks as assigned by the Survey Department Manager or Survey Project ManagerPerforms calculations and prepares field packagesProcesses acquired field data into a neat and accurate plat of survey and/or Metes and Bounds descriptionResponsible for quality control of drawings and legal descriptions prepared by othersResolves boundaries of properties and oversees the boundary construction and related issuesSigns and seals completed drawings, legal descriptions, and surveyor’s reports Qualifications Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS)0-4 years as an RPLSMust have experience with ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, TSPS Category 1A Land Title Surveys, topographic surveys for design and construction stakingMust have strong research, analytical and problem-solving skillsExperience with project-related budget management and invoicingAbility to develop and maintain professional relationshipsAbility to handle complex issues/problems Ability to work in a team environment as well as independentlyEffective time management and organizational skillsAbility to effectively communicate with all levels of employees in the organization, both verbally and written.Must be dependable and reliable Preferred Qualifications TxDOT experience a plusExperience with AutoCAD, Leica, and Microstation experience a plus
