Proposal Manager

The Proposal Manager will be responsible for managing and leading the tactical and strategic proposal efforts for Red River’s bids. The right candidate will have a proven track record of assessing and reviewing proposal tasks and developing win themes and strategies for a successful response. The Proposal Manager will lead and actively participate in the organizing, writing, editing, illustration and production of the final product. The Proposal Manager will be responsible for project management of the effort to include identifying personnel, task management and delivering a compliant and compelling bid to the customer. The Proposal Manager will also be tasked with growing and evolving the use of best practices, and enhancing efficiencies throughout the process.   

Primary Position Tasks:

Review solicitations, develop proposal plans, and build and manage to outlines and schedulesAbility to manage simultaneous efforts on proposals both large and small in scaleManage a team of assigned cross-functional personnel to ensure all aspects of proposal submission are completeCoordinate and lead meetings for the proposal effortInterface with proposal consultants, advisors, and subcontractors as neededIdentify gaps and win themes to develop a winning bidProvide detailed guidance to virtual team on tasks and manage them to the project timelineMonitor and communicate on all amendments and modifications to the solicitationTake responsibility for delivery of a compliant and compelling bidLead post proposal efforts on debriefs, kick-offs, lessons learned, etc.Other business duties as assigned

Minimum Education/Certification/Experience Requirements:

4 year college degree or equivalent work experienceProven leadership and motivational skills to manage virtual support teamsExperience in managing large proposals in the federal government spaceAbility to conceptualize and story board win themes and proposal narrative

Preferred Education/Certification/Experience:

At least 4 years of Proposal Management experience with emphasis on Services

Essential Elements (Mental; Physical; Equipment used):

This position is an office position that requires sitting at a desk for multiple hours throughout the work day.

This position requires the ability to continuously communicate with co-workers throughout the day utilizing Red River approved and/or provided communication tools and equipment.
