PSYCHOTHERAPIST (FULL TIME) - INDEPENDENCE INN

 

*Complete HRA 2010e applications for clients who are eligible for supportive housing.

*Work collaboratively with any psychiatric staff to ensure the most appropriate services are being provided.

*When appropriate and requested by the youth, conduct sessions with youth and their identified family incorporating an ongoing assessment of client readiness for movement in the direction of family reunification.

*Conduct workshops/group counseling for Independence Inn and BDIC clients, including workshops on relevant topics. These groups and workshops need to focus on issues common to clients (e.g. history of abuse or trauma, sexuality, substance use, safer sex, and related RHY concerns.)

*Complete pre-screenings and intake assessments for clients in need of shelter or other services in absence of the intake coordinator or case planner.

*Participate in Initial Service Plans and Case Conferences for clients/families when deemed appropriate.

*Completes fieldwork including escorting clients to emergency rooms or to the hospital.

*Provide psychoeducation when appropriate.

*Consult to program coordinators, case planners, counseling specialist, counselors and other staff on behavior management and other interventions.

*Participate in weekly force field/team meetings when appropriate.

*Report any suspected abuse or neglect to State Central Register or Justice Center when appropriate.

*Assist with completion of monthly and annual statistical reports relative to mental health enhancement monies

*Participate in other program activities including Quality Assurance team.

Qualifications - External

LMSW including a Master’s in Clinical Social Work from an accredited university, LCSW preferred.
