Share Job Apply Now Share Job Job Description David Weekley Homes will be looking for Candidates to bring additional talent to the San Antonio Purchasing team. These positions are responsible for accurately measuring and estimating every material that will go into building each floor plan and creating purchase orders in our database. Prior estimating experience and knowledge of construction or blueprints is beneficial. Job Responsibilities: + Estimate new plans and elevations including all plan options + Create plan cutsheets – flooring and rafters + Process plan changes and takeoff changes + On-site field visits to validate take-offs + Interact directly with builders, internal sales personnel and suppliers + Assist with special projects as needed by the Estimating Team Job Requirements: + Some estimating experience is preferred + Will also consider entry-level candidates with degree or equivalent work experience in construction management or a related field + A self-starter who is able to work independently and productively, prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously, detail oriented and able to handle deadlines + Experience with JDEdwards and Autodesk Design Review is a plus + Able to learn new technology easily.
