Job Title: Quality Manager Job Description The Quality Manager will oversee electrical quality control onsite at a greenfield solar farm (71 MW). This role involves ensuring compliance with quality standards throughout the construction process, focusing on electrical components and systems. This opportunity requires travel, compensated with per diem. Worksite location is in Newton, IL. Responsibilities + Review and have an intimate understanding of the plan set and the work being performed daily. + Create and maintain a daily log each morning documenting all tasks performed. + Track and document all inspections completed each day. + Record daily weather reports and any related delays. + Monitor and document the work completed each day by subcontractors. + Receive and review delivery BOLs to understand delivery contents. + Inspect materials before and after unloading to ensure no damage has occurred. + Take photos of materials, trucks, and trailers delivering materials before and after unloading. + Scan and file material BOLs. + Document materials received in the project daily log, including date, time, material types, quantities, and truck information. + Create delivery inspection reports in Procore, including all supporting photos. + Maintain a detailed understanding of daily tasks and locations of work being performed. + Document installation and inspection status in the project daily log. + Conduct daily review of the plan set. + Track deliveries and inspect materials at the time of delivery. + File delivery BOLs daily. + Report daily materials received. + Perform daily installation inspections. + Maintain daily pod tracker and inspection tracker in Excel. + Track subcontractors' activities. Essential Skills + Proficiency in Procore. + Experience in quality control. + Knowledge of electrical construction. + Understanding of electrical quality assurance. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Strong organizational skills. + Attention to detail. + Ability to document and track various reports and inspections. + Proficient in Excel for tracking purposes. Work Environment This role is based onsite at a new solar construction site, requiring daily interaction with various subcontractors and inspection of electrical components. The work involves outdoor activities in varying weather conditions and requires adherence to safety protocols and site-specific regulations.
