QC Lab Technician - Nights Job Description Join a dynamic team as a QC Lab Technician, where you will perform essential quality control and laboratory functions to ensure food safety. You will play a critical role in analyzing products, water, and the environment, supporting the Pre-Operation sanitation and HACCP program. This role offers a blend of lab and production support functions, perfect for gaining comprehensive experience in both microbiology and chemistry. Responsibilities + Perform microbiological analysis of products, water, and environment to support food safety programs. + Collect samples for testing, including energy drinks, sweetener samples, raw and treated water, and sanitation rinse water. + Conduct analytical testing on energy drinks, including CO2 levels, air content, volume, crimp, torque, pH, brix, flavor, and seam checks. + Perform titratable acidity and HPLC analysis for caffeine and preservative levels. + Evaluate finished products for taste, odor, and appearance (T.O.A). + Ensure accuracy and calibration of measuring devices. + Accurately record and document analysis results. + Fill out and review batching sheets, ingredient labels, specs, and regulatory documents. + Communicate with batching, production, and sanitation teams to support QA functions. + Pull and test finished goods samples for analytical and customer testing requirements. + Conduct QA line checks every 4 hours, reviewing GMPs and food safety standards. Essential Skills + Proficiency in wet chemistry and aseptic techniques. + Experience in quality control, line checks, and inspections. + Excellent documentation and communication skills. + Experience in laboratory, biology, and chemistry environments. Additional Skills & Qualifications + 2 years of experience in food quality or an AA/BA/BS in a scientific discipline. + Data and documentation skills verified by references. + Experience supporting quality functions in a manufacturing environment. Work Environment Work at a contract mixing and bottling manufacturer with a full brewery. The position operates on a rotating schedule from 5:45 PM to 6:00 AM, involving 50% lab work and 50% floor functions.
