Quality Assurance Engineer II, Connectivity

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and executing on a testing strategy to validate device to app functionality end to end. You will also help automate our regression tests and contribute to our automated framework and our testing tools. You will need a high level of understanding of software development and different ways to test components in a range of scenarios. You will work closely with the development team to ensure that our products are thoroughly tested and meet the highest quality standards. You will also be responsible for analyzing test results, identifying and reporting issues, maintaining tests and driving continuous improvements in our testing processes.

This role reports to the QA Manager.RESPONSIBILITIES:Participate in our agile/scrum development process and provide a QA level of effort for our Epics and StoriesWork closely with development and product management to understand the user requirements and design test plans for individual feature of software as well as for the larger systemsCommunicate with different teams, such as design and product, to understand the expectations and test from user’s point of view to provide feedbackCreate test cases and test scripts based on software requirements and ensure the product meet high quality standards for end usersPerform regression testing and automated testing execution to proactively address potential quality issues before they reach usersConduct root cause analysis of identified bugs, providing sufficient detail to the development team to help understand, prioritize, replicate, and resolve issuesCollaborate with cross functional teams to ensure how to deliver software on time and with qualityIdentify and prepare test data for executing test scenarios and proceduresAssist with automation testing framework building for our wearable devices and mobile applicationsAble to provide concise and clear test reports driving towards product quality improvementsQUALIFICATIONS:Extensive quality assurance experience in both automation and manual testingExperience in designing and executing test casesStrong programming skills in at least one of the following languages: Java, Python, or similar languagesExcellent communication and documentation skills Experience solving for the challenges of data-driven applicationsExperience testing mobile applications on both Android and iOS platformsExperience with JIRA issue management system (or equivalent.)Demonstrated ability to work with individual contributors, vendors, and cross-functional teamsBe creative and eager to learn new technologies to help enhance testingPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Experience with test automation frameworks such as Appium, Selenium, or Robot FrameworkExperience in extensive testing of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth/BLE, TCP/IP Networking softwareFind out more about us:   
This role is based in the WHOOP office located in Boston, MA. The successful candidate must be prepared to relocate if necessary to work out of the Boston, MA office.
