Overall Purpose\n

The Incoming Quality Auditor inspects parts being received by the customer, using proper inspection techniques and equipment. This task is also performed accurately, efficiently and in a professional manner.\nResponsibilities\n

(To include but not limited to the following)\nClient Relationship & Business Development\n\nAct as an impartial third party between the production source and the customer facility to ensure the product meets set criteria\n\n

Operations\n\nInspect or perform audits on incoming material, using measuring and gauging tools and visual techniques in determining conformance to engineering specifications\nDetermine the method(s) and process(es) needed to measure part conformance, according to the allowed dimensional tolerances and normal gauging practices\nDocument and report non-conformances to specifications using computerized quality documentation system\nContain non-conforming parts and materials\nSort and rework non-conforming parts and material\nPrioritize the order of short-quantity loads, and manage FIFO flow of received goods\nComplete other duties and\/or responsibilities as assigned\nDemonstrated ability in handling and maintaining precision measuring tools, equipment, and gauges\nPerform visual inspection of painted surfaces, surface defects, cleanliness and packaging\nOperating-level proficiency using computer software programs\nAble to unpack and repackage incoming materials safely and as instructed\nOperating-level knowledge of material handling equipment - pallet jacks and hoists\nPerform visual inspection of various types of welds\nOther duties and\/or responsibilities as assigned\n\nOrganization & Management\n\nCollect and record data for Management\nThis position does not include supervisory responsibilities\n\n

Technical\n\nComprehension-level knowledge and ability to interpret engineering drawings (blueprints)\nComprehension-level knowledge and understanding of inspection techniques, and the selection and manipulation of measuring tools, equipment, and gauges (micrometers, calipers etc.)\nDemonstrated ability in interpreting engineering specifications\nComprehension-level knowledge and ability to interpret geometrically dimension and tolerance (GD&T) engineering drawings\n\nKnowledge, skills, abilities\n\n\n\n\n
