Quality Material and Technical Specialist

Hexcel is currently seeking a Quality Material & Technical Specialist for our Salt Lake City, UT, USA, Matrix location.

The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:

Review documentation for accuracy and legibility for materials both produced and received by Matrix.Verify no discrepant material (either produced or received by Matrix) is certified as conforming, raw ingredients are accepted and within shelf life, and all testing conforms to internal and customer specifications.Pull samples as needed and verify all testing conforms to specifications and requirements.Prepare certification packets for customers including certification/certification forms and data reports.Collect and maintain all quality records for record retention.Support Shipping Department to assure on-time deliveries by proactively identifying non-compliances and escalating appropriately.Support eQMS system for raw materials, eIMS system for non-conformances, Corrective Action system, and stamp control program as applicableCoordinate with raw material suppliers for material informationBe the point of contact for customer delegated source inspection where required.Understand and follow all safety, environmental, and quality procedures to ensure compliance

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent requiredSix to twelve months related experience and/or training preferred.Demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic math skills.Awareness of Quality System procedures as applicable to positionMust be able to communicate with all levels of personnel written and verbally.Ability to write reports, business correspondences and procedures.Can read and interpret documents such as customer specifications, company procedures, and sales orders.Ability to communicate technical information effectively with other employees, supervision, and engineers.Prior knowledge of Kaizen/Blitz concept is a plus.
