Our Impact:

Create and implement a complete model validation within the Enterprise Model Risk group

Provide effective challenges on existing models and methodologies

Enhance the enterprise model risk governance process

Your Impact:

Conduct technical validation of Freddie Mac models, including writing a detailed independent model validation report

Follow model risk standards and procedures

Perform explanatory analysis and research, present results to both technical and non-technical audiences

Work collaboratively with partners to ensure effective management of model risk enterprise wide.

Qualifications:

Doctorate degree (or Master's degree with equivalent work experience) in statistics, quantitative finance, economics, or a related quantitative field

Coursework or work experience applying predictive modeling techniques from data science, statistics, machine learning, and econometrics to large data sets. Qualifying coursework may include—but is not limited to—data science, statistics, machine learning, optimization, numerical analysis, scientific programming, computational methods, supervised learning, unsupervised learning, text mining, and image analysis

Coursework or work experience writing computer programs to implement data science pipelines and predictive algorithms.

Programming languages: in-depth knowledge of and experience with Python is a must.

Coursework or work experience using technologies for manipulating structured and unstructured big data.

3+ years of experience in quantitative analytics, modeling or risk management with a combination of business and technical skills is preferred

Excellent interpersonal and partnership skills

Demonstrated written presentation experience (PowerPoint and Word)

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $118,000 - $178,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
