Job Title: Quotation Specialist
Job Description

The Quotation Specialist is responsible for preparing accurate, detailed cost estimates and quotes for prospective and existing customers within the Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) industry. This role requires a strong understanding of PCB assembly processes, component sourcing, labor costs, and related manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams including program managers, procurement, engineering, and production to deliver competitive and timely quotations.

ResponsibilitiesAnalyze customer RFQs (Request for Quote), BOMs (Bill of Materials), files, and assembly drawings to develop detailed cost estimates.Work with new and existing vendors to obtain accurate component pricing and lead times.Coordinate with production and engineering teams to assess manufacturing feasibility and identify potential cost drivers.Prepare and present formal quotations in a timely manner ensuring alignment with margin targets and customer requirements.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supplier capabilities in the EMS sector.Track and follow up on open quotes and collaborate with program managers to convert opportunities into orders.Continuously improve estimating tools, templates, and processes for efficiency and accuracy.Participate in weekly Quote Log meetings or calls as needed.Essential Skills3+ years of experience with quotations/purchasingERP experienceStrong knowledge of electronic components, PCB assembly processes, and manufacturing workflowsProficiency in reading technical drawings, BOMs, files, and customer specificationsStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple projects under tight deadlinesProficient in Microsoft OfficeAdditional Skills & QualificationsAssociate or bachelor’s degree preferably in Engineering, Electronics, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)2–5 years of experience in quoting or cost estimation, preferably in EMS or contract manufacturingFamiliarity with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., Macola, Syteline, Epicor) and quoting softwareWork Environment

This position is onsite 5 days a week, with work hours from 8am-5pm, totaling a 40-hour work week.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $31.25/hr.
