Radiologic Technologist Assistant - Radiology Marysville

 

The Radiologic Technologist Assistant is responsible for assisting Radiologic Technologists with procedural tasks and basic supportive care to patients and families.

Responsibilities Prepares patients and all related documentation for fluoroscopy and imaging procedures, transporting patients to and from the ED/UC areasProcess RIS orders as requested by radiographerMaintains stock of imaging supplies and cleanliness within each procedure roomResponsible for performing technical tasks and direct patient care under the supervision of a radiographer; performs a variety of non-technical tasks and indirect patient care activitiesMaintains knowledge of current applications in Radiology and complies with regulatory guidelines and policiesMaintains a variety of section and department functions. Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE , SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

 

Education:

High school graduate or equivalent.Currently a student in an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.

Experience:

1-year clinical experience preferred

Skills:

High level of communication and organizational skillsHigh level of professionalism and ability to establish good rapport with patients and staff

Certifications:

Current CPR certification required.

MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires constant talking, hearing, standing, stooping, lifting, hand dexterity, bending, walking, and seeing to effectively perform varied General Radiography procedures (100%)Must be able to see, hear, stand, walk, speak, read, and perform manual tasks with or without accommodation, and care for oneself with little or no difficulty.Must be able to independently lift up to 50 lbs.Must be able to move or reposition patients of any weight or size with the assistance of another person(s) and/or equipment.
