Together we are one team one vision.POSITION SUMMARYThe Receiving Inspector inspects and verifies incoming mechanical and electrical parts, components, and materials to ensure they meet company and industry quality standards. This role performs visual and dimensional inspections, reviews supplier documentation, and identifies non-conforming materials to maintain product quality and compliance. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform detailed inspections of mechanical and electrical parts and components upon receipt, using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.) Verify supplier-provided documents, such as material certificates, test reports, and certifications, ensuring compliance with specifications and purchase orders. Maintain accurate inspection records, logs, and reports in compliance with quality management system requirements. Identify, document, and report non-conforming materials; work with quality engineering on processing the completed nonconformance forms by scanning and uploading the completed records into the nonconformance system. Work closely with quality and production teams to resolve quality issues and improve supplier performance. Suggest improvements to inspection processes and assist in developing quality control procedures. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Required Items: Associates degree in a technical related field (mechanical preferred), or equivalent related experience. 3 years minimum in a receiving inspection role with familiarity with mechanical measurements. Familiar with ISO requirements and understanding of ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 sampling plans. Ability to read and interpret documents such as engineering drawings, specifications and procedures. Strong communication and software skills (Microsoft Office) Proficiency in using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, CMM, height gauges). WORK ENVIRONMENTWhile performing the duties of this position, the employee works in an environment containing lasers and other mechanical, optical and electrical equipment. The employee may occasionally work in a lab area containing biological tissues used for testing and hazardous chemicals.
