Regional Operational Technology Engineer

Indorama Ventures Oxides is currently looking for a dynamic individual to work as a Regional Operational Technology Engineer for our division’s Regional Manufacturing Operational Technology Department. This role is critical to the success of cybersecurity protection, alarm management, Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), and other control system related activities. This position will provide leadership and innovation to ensure that cybersecurity policies, patching, system updates, etc. on all DCS and PLC systems (Foxboro, DeltaV, ABB, Triconex) are implemented consistently. Additional responsibilities include regular maintenance and troubleshooting of hardware and software problems. Communication and teamwork with other team members, including process control engineers, is necessary to ensure safe and efficient operation. **What will be expected from you?** **System Architecture** + Responsible for documenting system architecture, developing network documentation and drawings, and maintaining equipment inventories. + Responsible for implementing corporate cybersecurity standards for DCS, PLC and SIS networks. + Responsible for developing and maintaining a rolling 5-year upgrade plan and helping sites plan their budgetary requirements to implement this plan. **DCS, PLC and SIS Activities** + Good knowledge of process hazards and associated safeguards, i.e. process control, safety instrumented functions, alarms, and operator response. + Regular maintenance and troubleshooting of hardware and software problems. + Install current updates to DCS, PLC and SIS systems. + Configure network switches. + Provide design support for projects. + Awareness of importance of instrumented systems used as Independent Protection Layers (IPLs). + Develop DCS, PLC and SIS Scope documents as necessary for instrumented IPLs. + Perform and oversee the completion of IPL Verifications as required. + Essential functions require presence at required multiple sites on a regular basis and an ability to work extra hours if needed. If applicable, ability to work overtime may be needed to ensure required staffing capacity to meet daily production objectives. + Work collaboratively with team members with different backgrounds and perspectives. + Assists other employees in accomplishing Indorama company goals. Follows instructions and performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor. + Participates in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives as set forth by the company. Participates in and completes company-required training programs. **What are we looking for in the ideal candidate?** + Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, and 5+ years of operations/process control experience in the petrochemical or refining industry, or 10+ years of experience in systems engineering or control systems. + Specific experience below is required. + Microsoft operating system support. + Supporting managed ethernet switches. + Working knowledge of virtualization. + Securing and protecting servers and networks from cyber-attacks. + Effectively manipulate and analyze data. + Comfortable with challenging inefficiencies and process deviations. + Strong organizational skills, effective communicator, and problem solver. + Experience below is a plus. + GICSP/CISSP or equivalent. + Firewall management and support. + Previous support of production virtual environments. + Must have or be able to obtain TWIC card. **What can we offer you?** Indorama Ventures – Indovinya is a global and innovative chemical company, offering sustainable and high-value solutions for the long-term success of our customers.
