Regional Product Specialist

Today, Intellijoint technology lives in the operating room helping surgeons improve implant positioning during hip and knee replacement surgeries. Our technology has been used in over 50,000 surgeries - helping us to gain real-world feedback from patients and surgeons to improve our products. We are seeking a Regional Product Specialist to join our West Sales Team to bring innovative technologies to the market.   The Position  Clinical excellence is critical to Intellijoint Surgical achieving our mission of Improving Patients’ Lives by Providing Every Surgeon with Effective, Easy-to-Use Technology. The Regional Product Specialist plays an integral part in achieving this by:  + Standardizing the Customer Experience. The Regional Product Specialist ensures that the Selling Organization is delivering consistent, best in class account set-up, case set-up and surgeon, operating room, and ancillary staff training.  + Continuously Upskilling the US Sales Team. Making the Selling Organization better through the translation of deep product knowledge into meaningful procedural mastery that benefits surgeons and patients.  + Owning the Product Certification Process. This means close coordination with the Medical Education Team and Sales Team Leads to ensure field-based training and course-based training are aligned to get new hires up and running in the most efficient manner possible. This requires well-tuned interpersonal skills and an individualized approach that aligns knowledge delivery to different leaning styles.   + Deepening Relationship with Orthopedic Surgeons. Supporting the selling pods within the Region with First Surgery assistance, assisting Team Leads with KOL management and referral site visits, and participating in product roadshows and demonstrations.  + Representing the U.S. Selling Organization to the Development Organization. Alongside the other RPS’s, help drive continuous product improvements by collecting voice of the customer for the U.S. Selling Organization during product development projects.  This is a fast-paced, autonomous position that provides an opportunity to work with a disruptive technology that can improve surgical outcomes and restore a patient’s quality of life. It requires a self-starter who can build relationships quickly and can handle a dynamic environment and a changing schedule.  Main Duties:  + An understanding of national and regional sales objectives. Alongside Regional Sales Managers, support the development and execution of the sales plan as well as grow the utilization of Intellijoint by increasing volume with current and potential surgeons  + Accountable for training distributors and case coverage representatives within defined region  + Assisting the Medical Education and Marketing Team in building training materials including materials on Intellijoint’s internal online portal and external reference materials   + Delivering one-on-one training sessions, in-service education programs, seminars and/or outside symposiums.   + Responsible for product deployment as required, involving: representing Intellijoint Surgical during surgical procedures to provide troubleshooting and other technical assistance. Bringing in and setting up equipment. Setting up in-servicing with hospital staff. Training surgeons. Supporting hospitals and surgeons throughout initial cases and setting expectations for continued maintenance of cases.  + As required, assisting with regional events and coordinating labs  + Attending seminars and/or outside symposiums  + Using sales tools (Salesforce CRM) to effectively capture customer and procedure information. Regularly view reports to align sales opportunities with strategic plans to drive sales growth in assigned territory  + Able to quickly resolve complex challenges that occur in a dynamic environment  + Must be able to routinely make decisions which may affect immediate sales operations and have a national effect  + Must be able to analyze and resolve non-routine sales and procedure issues using independent judgement  + Other activities as they arise, as assigned by the sales leadership  Skills and Experience to Enable Success:   + 5 year’s experience working in the medical device, medical technology, or orthopaedics industry  + 3 years of sales experience with a consistent track record of exceeding targets  + Skilled in business communications, sales presentations, influencing without formal authority, and the ability to understand and articulate the value of the company’s products in both clinical and economic terms  + Strong emotional intelligence with the ability to use a methodical approach to selling within unique hospital and surgical settings  Physical Job Requirements:  The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
