Novant Health is hiring for an Emergency Department registered nurse for the day shift at our New Hanover Regional Medical Center location in Wilmington, NC. We’re offering up to a $ 15,000 sign-on bonus as well as $7,500 relocation.

We're seeking a registered nurse to join our team at New Hanover Regional Medical Center's Emergency Department, a distinguished Level 2 Trauma Center featuring 8 beds. With a nurse-to-patient ratio of approximately 1 to 4, our focus on patient care excellence is matched only by our commitment to teamwork. Our cohesive team of nurses collaborates seamlessly to ensure optimal unit performance. We're looking for a dedicated registered nurse who thrives in a collaborative environment and shares our passion for providing exceptional patient care.

 

Job Responsibilities:

Quickly assess and prioritize patient care needs in the emergency department.Administer urgent medical treatments and interventions according to protocols.Work closely with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and communicate updates.Provide patient and family education, offering emotional support during emergencies.Assist with critical procedures like resuscitation and trauma stabilization as required.Accurately document patient information and care interventions in medical records.

 

Job Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in nursing. Current valid North Carolina nursing license required. Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Red Cross or American Heart Association required.1 Year of ED experience in an acute hospital setting.

If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
