This position is eligible for a competitive Sign On Bonus as well as a Relocation Bonus for eligible candidates!

Shift: 12 hour Night, 7-7:30

Schedule:  Part-Time, Flexible self-scheduling

 

Job Description:

The Critical Care Float Pool (CCFP) Registered Nurse at Inova Loudoun Hospital is one of the most highly motivated and clinically adaptable nurses available.  As a CC RN you’ll provide exceptional patient care and peer support across our Emergency Departments, ICUs, IMC, PACU and Cath Lab.  You’ll never have the same day twice!  Additionally, you’ll serve as the clinical linchpin in the hospital when functioning as a Critical Response Nurse (CRN).  A CRN is light on their feet and quick of mind to respond to rapid responses, MSETs, and stroke and trauma activations. Be prepared to get in your steps and find joy in your work as you care for some of our most medically fragile patients.  Our CC RNs are revered for their skills and willingness to assist and educate others, making them some of our best preceptors and mentors.  We’re a community hospital serving a diverse patient population in a fast-growing area of northern Virginia, and we’re committed to obtaining and retaining nurses who are the cream of the crop!  If you have at least two years of critical care experience, love variety, and enjoy imparting your knowledge and assistance to others there’s no better position than this!

Expanding your skills and floating to the following units: 

Inpatient Critical Care Units – ICU, STICU, IMC 4 Emergency Rooms – Adult ED, Pediatric ED, Cornwall ED, and Ashburn Healthplex Procedural areas – IHVI (Interventional Radiology and Cath Lab) and PACU for some simple procedures and post recovery care.  Critical Response Nurse – critical care resource for the hospital, responder to all codes including MSETs, Rapid Responses, Strokes, Traumas, etc.

Consistently provides safe, therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way. Incorporates differences into the provision of care. Conducts all patient care in a patient and family-centered manner. Integrates knowledge, skills, and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum, to include patient and family education. Uses an integrated approach toward patient outcomes. Serves as an empowering body to influence patient empowerment, and successful outcomes of financial and clinical quality, through relationships and access-based knowledge. Utilizes standards, guidelines, and pathways for care delivery. Determines process for delivery of care from direct patient and family communication, technology, and other healthcare team member collaboration. Ensures improvements in practice settings by assuming responsibility for self-development in life-long learning

Requirements:

Experience: 1+ years of critical care RN experience.  (2+ years of critical care RN experience preferred) Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 24 months of start date. BLS for Healthcare Provider Certification (American Heart Association) required ACLS (American Heart Association) & NIHSS preferred or obtained prior to end of orientation PALS and TNCC obtained within first 6 months
