Registered Nurse (RN) Neuro Oncology Clinic

The Inova Schar Cancer Institute is a state-of-the-art cancer center in the Washington, DC metro area designed to bring healing and hope to every patient. The White Oak Clinic, which is located within the newly built Inova Schar Cancer Institute, is an outpatient physician clinic whose team members work closely and expertly with our board-certified oncologists and advanced practitioners to serve patients for various oncology specialties. The clinic is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The clinics are closed for the seven recognized Inova holidays and there are no on-call requirements. Our team members work five 8 hour shifts. Sign on bonus available for experienced RN's. 

 RN oncology experience highly preferred. RN’s with ED, Critical Care, ICU and acute care background are encouraged to apply. Oncology fellowship classes are offered upon hire. This role will specifically work with our neuro oncology team - some floating to other Schar clinics may be required from time to time.

 REQUIREMENTS: 

A minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse clinical experience.
  Education: BSN or ADN - If ADN then complete BSN within 24 months of start date

          If Associates Degree RN-Within 6 months of start date, meet with nurse leader. Identify which Accredited School the employee plans to attend. Submit a review of               transcript from the school indicating the required pre-requisites and timeline for taking the courses. Provide a written plan with anticipated BSN completion date.

BLS for Healthcare Provider Certification from the American Heart Association required RN licensed, and eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Proficient in English, strong verbal and written communication skills. Exceptional interpersonal skill and the ability to display a caring demeanor towards others. Proficient computer skills required.
